Plai

A family lives in a remote village in the Carpathian Mountains. Even there, the seemingly idyllic life in the midst of nature is marked by the war in Eastern Ukraine. The grandfather lost his leg when he defended Ukraine's independence on the Maidan. Since then, the grandmother has had to bear the burden of agriculture. Their grandchildren help with this and reflect together on the war as if it were a common topic of conversation. In her film, Eva Dzhyshyashvili leaves the answer to the most difficult questions of our time to the wisest among us: the children.
