Limbo

Der Film zeigt Momentaufnahmen aus dem Leben von Transitflüchtlingen, die sich in der Stadt Brest in Belarus aufhalten und in Polen Asyl suchen. Die Flüchtlinge bleiben dort von wenigen Tagen bis zu 6 Monaten. Einige von ihnen geben auf und bleiben in Belarus, weil sie kein Geld und keine Kraft mehr haben, um weitere Grenzübertrittsversuche zu unternehmen. Der Film begleitet Familien, die bereits nach Polen gezogen sind, und solche, die in Belarus geblieben sind.

Tatsiana Svirepa

Tatsiana Svirepa works as a photojournalist, journalist, and director. Her works have been published in BirdInFlight, train, tut.by, Republic, gaypress, August 2020, Novaya Gazeta. Her debut short film "Limbo", which tells about the life of transit refugees in the city of Brest, was released in 2020 and was shown at various festivals both in Belarus and abroad. In 2021, she released the short film "A Few Words About My Mother and Her Dog", which received a special mention from the jury at the Unfiltered Cinema Festival (Belarus). Tatsiana lives in Warsaw.
